On January 4, officers discovered Cameron Gruber, of Mason Street, at a property on George Street. Police arrested the 19-year-old after seizing wraps of cocaine and heroin worth around £1,500 from the premises. Gruber’s pockets were also raided for a substantial amount of cannabis.
The Arrest and Sentence
On the 5th of January, he was charged. Gruber received a sentence of two years and nine months in jail at Winchester Crown Court on Friday, April 28.
On March 21, he pled guilty to two charges of production with intent to provide a class A narcotic and one count of possession of a class B substance in the same court.

“We will not tolerate those who look to supply drugs in our communities, and we will aggressively target and prosecute these offenders,” said investigating officer PC Liam Steele. In order to disrupt individuals participating in the drug supply, our operation will be both apparent and covert.
“Information from the public about this type of criminal activity in Reading is critical in developing intelligence for our investigations.”
