Long Attempts to Catch a Criminal
The US Department of Justice announced on Friday, May 12th, that a man who was allegedly trafficking drugs and was on the “ten most wanted” list of the United States has been extradited to Canada to face federal charges there.
Khaophone Sychantha, a suspect with dual citizenship in Canada and Laos, was accused in three distinct instances in Canada after fleeing house arrest there in 2014, according to the department. It was revealed that he was initially indicted in the United States in 2005 and again in 2013. 2017 saw his third arrest.
