A drug trafficking examination including law enforcement actions in Brampton, Caledon, Vaughan, and Barrie, Ontario, resulted in the arrest and charging of two individuals.

Early in 2023, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) station in Caledon allegedly began a probe into drug trafficking.

Police allegedly carried out searches in Barrie, Brampton, and Vaughan as part of that probe. Involved in the investigation were a number of OPP detachments, Peel police, Barrie police, and others.

A 28-year-old Brampton man was detained, according to the police, and is now facing various charges, including possession of cocaine, fentanyl for the goal of trafficking, and four counts of disobeying a release order.

In addition, a 26-year-old Woodbridge resident was charged with possession of fentanyl, Percocet, and property gained from criminal activity under $5,000 as well as possession for trafficking in both substances.

The police reported that they had confiscated drugs, a semi-automatic gun, bundles of cash, and handgun magazines.

Court testimony hasn’t established the accusations.
