Hansa Market, also known as Hansa, was a prominent secure darknet marketplace that operated on the Tor network. It facilitated the illicit trade of goods and services, including drugs, counterfeit money, hacking tools, and stolen data. In 2017, it was revealed that Dutch law enforcement had taken control of the marketplace in an operation known as “Operation Bayonet.” In July 2017, the operation was publicly disclosed, leading to the shutdown of Hansa Market and the subsequent arrest of individuals associated with the marketplace.
