Deepfakes-as-a-Service (DFaaS), a digital platform for producing humans, has been introduced by the Chinese corporation Tencent Cloud. The service just requires 3 minutes of video streaming and 100 spoken sentences, based on sources in Chinese media. The firm will also produce a high-definition digital person for $145. To produce a deep fake, just 24 hours are needed.
It’s Always Tencent Corporation
Background and skin tone are two examples of adjustable features. It is important to note that the generated deep fakes adhere to conventional acoustic models’ flat intonation and singular speech rhythm. This is done by utilizing a patented low-sample tone tuning method built on vocoder (arbitrary signal synthesizer) neural networks and acoustic deep learning models.
Tencent Cloud said the company hopes to build an “AI + Intelligent Factory” automated human factory and rely on a one-stop platform for production, sales, and service. The Digital Human Factory is powered by Tencent Cloud TI, a machine learning platform that offers more than 10 AI algorithms.
Solid Focus on AI Development
Tencent offers 5 styles for its digital people: 3D realistic, 3D semi-realistic, 3D cartoon, 2D real person, and 2D cartoon. Also, individual questions and answers can be created for a digital person, which will turn him into a kind of deepfake chatbot.
Tencent appears to be most interested in using the technology to host live TV commercials, a popular form of e-commerce in China. Local media also reported that Tencent may create digital doctors, lawyers and other professionals. Experts from around the world state many concerns regarding the new focus of the controversial company.
