At several home sites in rural Okanogan County, close to Oroville, Washington, federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement officers carried out a number of search warrant operations. They seized numerous guns and more than 100 pounds of illicit controlled narcotics.
What did the officials manage to find?
Law enforcement authorities began looking into the trafficking of dangerous controlled narcotics including methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and pills laced with fentanyl on April 19th, 2023, which resulted in the recovery of a sizable quantity of drugs. Fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and about 12 weapons were all seized by the law enforcement organizations. The research reveals that a large amount of the drugs found were meant for the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and other Native American settlements, as well as nearby areas in Washington and Montana. Multiple people have been accused of being involved in the inquiry.

“Our cooperation eliminated a lot of illicit drugs and weapons. The alliances seen here serve to protect our communities from lethal weapons and harmful drugs while also saving lives.”
The removal of such a sizable amount of illicit substances from the neighborhood was praised by US Attorney Waldref. According to US Attorney Waldref, “Illegal narcotics, and fentanyl in particular, have turned the United States into a plague, including Indian country.”
“I appreciate how the BIA, DEA, and important Federal, State, and Tribal partners have collaborated to tackle this harmful toxin.”
