NCB’s Goa unit arrested two Russians, including a 1980 Olympic silver medallist woman swimmer, along with an Indian, in a drug bust operation over the past two weeks. Various drugs, including cocaine and charas, were seized during the operation, which was conducted based on a tip-off about the active operation of a Russian drug cartel in Arambol and its adjoining areas. 

The NCB busted a Russian drug cartel in Goa, arresting a 1980 Olympic silver medallist woman swimmer, a former policeman, and an Indian, seizing various drugs. The operation was conducted over two weeks. 

Akash was identified as a local man working on the kingpin’s directions. Andre, the kingpin, was apprehended, and 20 LSD blots were seized from him. Andre revealed that he was growing hydroponic weed at his residence.

The Details About the Bust

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Goa has arrested two Russians, a former policeman named Andre and a 1980 Olympic silver medalist swimmer named S Varganova, in connection with an international drug cartel bust. 

The NCB seized various drugs, including 88 LSD blots, 8.8 grams cocaine, 242.5 grams charas, 1.440 kg hydroponic weed, 16.49 grams hash oil, and 410 grams hash cake, along with cash and material required to grow hydroponic weed. Local citizen Akash was also arrested, and further investigation is ongoing.
