On Tuesday, April 25, law enforcement personnel discovered 99 cannabis plants at the former Brickmakers Arms in New Road, Uckfield. When citizens reported suspicious activities, the police learned that the location was being utilized for drug sales. The cannabis plants were reportedly in their early stages of development when the police discovered growing equipment.
What is Known About the Place
The location was previously identified as a cannabis factory in May 2021, which was interrupted, but the general public believed it had resumed operations, according to superintendent Till Sanderson. It seems as though we slowed the growth down right away.
The perpetrators had invested a lot of time, money, and effort in building the site, which they have happily lost. Cannabis is a dangerous, illegal drug whose production, sale, and distribution encourage crime in local communities.
It has the potential to develop into more serious crimes and is often coupled with exploitation, violence, and addiction, wreaking havoc on our neighborhoods.
“This operation demonstrates that we will remain tenacious in our pursuit of perpetrators while collaborating with our partners to address the underlying causes of this behavior and protect those who are most vulnerable to harm.”
