Massive Cocaine Seizure: Unveiling Europe’s Dark Trade Secrets
Authorities claim that a cargo container’s contents included 9,436 kg of cocaine that had been hidden within chilled banana crates. The southern Spanish port of Algeciras saw this seizure on Wednesday.
According to reports, the corporation in charge of the cargo might send 40 containers to Europe each month. Using the port of Vigo in northwest Spain, they had a sophisticated supply system in place for transporting containers from Ecuador to Spain.
The press release referred to this operation as a serious blow to a large criminal organization involved in cocaine trafficking without mentioning the gang specifically. The substances were destined for important criminal organizations throughout Europe. No one has been taken into custody as of yet.
More than 30 different criminal groups from around Europe had their logos on the shipments. A lot of the packages bore the markings “Hitler” and the swastika, just like a shipment of cocaine that was stopped in Peru on its route to Belgium in May of this year.
Authorities were looking into any links between the shipment and European neo-Nazi organisations at the time. It’s also conceivable that these markings served as a code to identify particular receivers.
