US Rapper Fetty Wap Pleads Guilty to Drug Trafficking in Connection to East Coast Distribution Ring

Last year, the rapper “Trap Queen,” actual name Willie Junior Maxwell II, pled guilty to charges of possessing and distributing cocaine.

Based on the New York authorities reports, Maxwell was one of six individuals who transported and distributed narcotics across Long Island and New Jersey in the previous years.

The narcotics were caught from the west coast of the nation, and they were sent to New York City through a variety of means, including the US Postal Service and automobiles with hidden compartments.

Once in New York, the medications were sent to wholesalers who helped sell them all across New Jersey, including Long Island.

The Justice Department described Maxwell, 31, as a prominent player in the operation. As a kilogram-level redistributor inside the smuggling network, Maxwell made a significant contribution.

The rapper was abruptly seized by the authorities at an October 2021 music concert that was set for Queens’ Citi Field baseball stadium, which interfered with the performance.

A considerable amount of fentanyl tablets, about $1.5 million in cash, 16 kilograms of cocaine, 2 kilos of heroin, a significant number of guns, and significant amounts of each were found during the searches that were conducted, according to the prosecution’s disclosure of key findings from their investigation.

Following the case, it was announced that Maxwell will undergo post-release supervision for five years as a condition of the legal procedures.

A New Jersey prison guard who was one of Maxwell’s co-defendants was given a six-year jail term in March for his part in the scheme. While awaiting their separate sentencing, the remaining four co-defendants have decided to submit guilty pleas.
